This challenging 10-day cycling adventure is designed for active travellers who enjoy breathtaking landscapes, authenticity, and adventure. You will cycle through mountains, desert scenery, valleys, and along the coast.

A guide accompanies the journey, giving you access to hidden places that independent cyclists would rarely discover.

For sporty travellers who enjoy exploring the landscape by bicycle. The cycling level is moderate, with an occasional more challenging stage. A support vehicle accompanies the rides and transports your luggage.

Accommodation ranges from simple and traditional hotels to more luxurious options with a swimming pool.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Amsterdam – Marrakech Marrakech is one of the most fascinating cities in North Africa. Upon arrival, you will immediately experience the atmosphere of this vibrant city, where tradition and modern life blend seamlessly. Depending on your arrival time, you may already catch your first glimpse of the famous Djemaa el Fna square. Overnight stay in a traditional riad. Day 2 – Marrakech – Aït Ben Haddou After a transfer towards the Atlas Mountains, your cycling journey begins in Anmiter. You cycle through an impressive, rugged landscape towards the iconic Aït Ben Haddou (approx. 38 km). This UNESCO World Heritage kasbah is one of Morocco’s most beautiful and best-preserved fortified villages, and has served as a backdrop for countless films. Overnight stay in Riad Maktoub. Day 3 – Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Agdz Today you cycle towards Ouarzazate, also known as the “Hollywood of Morocco”, where you can visit the famous film studios. You then continue your journey (approx. 54 km) towards the lush Draa Valley. Eventually, you reach Agdz, a charming oasis on the edge of the desert. Overnight stay in Kasbah Itrane. Day 4 – Agdz – Taliouine Today’s ride takes you through the foothills of the Anti-Atlas towards Taliouine, known as Morocco’s saffron capital. Along the way, you enjoy quiet roads and authentic Berber villages (approx. 48 km). Overnight stay in a traditional, simple auberge. Day 5 – Taliouine – Taroudant Today you will set off on a longer but beautiful ride (approx. 78 km) towards Taroudant. Often called “little Marrakech”, this town is quieter and more authentic. Overnight stay in a hotel with swimming pool. Day 6 – Taroudant – Paradise Valley – Agadir After a short transfer to Imaizen, you will cycle from the mountains towards the Atlantic coast. The route (approx. 52 km) passes Paradise Valley, a green oasis with natural pools, and ends in the coastal town of Aourir. The support bus will take you to your hotel in Agadir. Overnight stay in a hotel close to the beach and sea. Day 7 – Agadir – Essaouira After a transfer along the coast, you will start cycling a beautiful coastal stretch (approx. 21 km) towards Sidi Kaouki. You will then continue by bus to Essaouira, a charming seaside town with a relaxed atmosphere and a lively harbour. Overnight stay in a hotel in the city centre. Day 8 – Essaouira – Marrakech Today you travel back to Marrakech. In the afternoon, you will have time to further explore the city. Overnight stay in a traditional riad with a swimming pool. Day 9 – Explore Marrakech Today you have a full day to experience Marrakech at your own pace, optionally with a guide. Visit the colourful souks, the Bahia Palace, or the famous Majorelle Gardens. Overnight stay in a traditional riad with swimming pool. Day 10 – Marrakech – Amsterdam After an unforgettable journey full of nature, culture, and sporting challenges, you will fly back to Amsterdam.

This tour is organised as a group journey, with a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 12 participants. It is also possible to tailor the trip for a smaller group. In that case, feel free to request a personalised quote.
