Morocco Special is a round trip designed for travellers who want to explore beautiful cities within a week while also taking the time to experience the remarkable Tazekka National Park.

This journey is ideal for all-round travellers: you will explore three cities and visit a national park for scenic hikes. Along the way, there is plenty of time to relax, enjoy a drink on a terrace, or unwind by the pool.

You can also choose to have part or all of the trip accompanied by a guide and driver.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Flight from Amsterdam to Rabat You will arrive in Rabat in the early evening. Overnight stay in a riad in the heart of the city. Day 2 – Rabat to Chefchaouen The day starts in Rabat, the calm and elegant capital known for its royal palaces and historic landmarks such as the Kasbah and the Hassan Tower. Optional is a citytour with a certified guide. In the afternoon, you travel onwards to Chefchaouen. The drive passes rolling hills, agricultural landscapes, and eventually the rugged scenery of the Rif Mountains. As you get closer, the mountains become greener and increasingly impressive. Overnight stay in a charming riad in the blue heart of the city, Casa Hassan. Day 3 – Chefchaouen Chefchaouen, often referred to as the “Blue City”, is tucked away in the mountains and famous for its narrow streets and blue-washed houses. You stroll through the medina, where life moves at a gentle pace and the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed. The surrounding mountains create a truly picturesque setting. Overnight stay in a charming riad in the blue heart of the city, Casa Hassan. Day 4 – Chefchaouen to Fes Today you travel from Chefchaouen to Fes. The route winds through the Rif Mountains before gradually descending into fertile plains. Along the way, you will pass small villages, olive groves, and vast agricultural landscapes. The transition from mountain scenery to historic city makes this a varied and fascinating journey. Overnight stay in a traditional riad with a swimming pool in the city centre, Riad Ziyat Fes. Day 5 – Fes Fes is one of Morocco’s oldest imperial cities and is renowned for its vibrant medina, a maze of narrow alleyways filled with craftsmanship and tradition. During an optional guided tour, you will discover ancient madrasas (schools), tanneries, and bustling markets. The city breathes history and offers an immersive glimpse into traditional Moroccan life. Overnight stay in a traditional riad with a swimming pool in the city centre, Riad Ziyat Fes. Day 6 – Fes to Tazekka National Park Leaving the bustle of Fes behind, you will travel towards Tazekka National Park. The landscape gradually transforms into a green and mountainous region. The road leads past forests, small mountain villages, and quiet valleys. Overnight stay in the mountains in a simple gîte. Day 7 – Tazekka National Park Today is dedicated entirely to nature. During a hike through the national park, you will discover dense cedar forests, limestone cliffs, and hidden caves. The area is rich in flora and fauna and offers stunning views across the surrounding mountains. Overnight stay in the mountains in a simple gîte. Day 8 – Tazekka National Park to Rabat – Amsterdam The return journey to Rabat once again takes you through Morocco’s diverse landscapes, from mountainous regions to wide open plains. Along the way, you will notice the scenery gradually becoming more urban. Upon arrival in Rabat, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home, carrying a suitcase full of unforgettable impressions of culture and nature.

  • Price is based on 2 people sharing a double room in mid-range hotels.

  • Surcharges may apply for travel during holidays (Christmas, New Year, Eid Al Fitr, Eid al-Adha).

  • The hotels listed provide a good indication of where you will stay. If they are fully booked, Wadi Tours will arrange a similar alternative.
